CN last week announced that the 11 director nominees listed in the management information circular dated March 10 were elected as directors of CN. The board unanimously reelected Shauneen Bruder as chair. Bruder is a corporate director and retired executive vice president of operations at the Royal Bank of Canada. The other directors elected to CN's board are Jo-ann dePass Olsovsky, David Freeman, Densie Gray, Justin Howell, Susan Jones, Robert Knight, Michel Letellier, Margaret McKenzie, Al Monaco and Tracy Robinson.
RailWorks Corp. has appointed Matt Violin as chief commercial officer. Violin has over 20 years of experience in the rail industry. Since joining the RailWorks family in 2008 through its NARSTCO division, Violin rose steadily through the ranks, from regional sales manager to national sales manager and ultimately to vice president of sales. As CCO, he will focus on expanding the company’s market presence and accelerating strategic growth initiatives across North America. “We’re thrilled to welcome Matt to the executive leadership team,” said RailWorks President and CEO Kevin Riddett in a press release. “His deep industry knowledge, commercial acumen, and passion for rail infrastructure position him perfectly to help shape the next chapter of our company’s growth.”
CHA Solutions Inc. announced Ramon Borges has joined the firm as vice president, key account manager. In his new role, Borges will expand CHA’s portfolio of transportation projects in Florida focusing on highway, bridge, intelligence transportation systems and tolling. He has more than three decades of expertise in program management, transportation infrastructure design and construction management of major capital projects, according to a CHA press release.
