The American Short Line and Regional Railroad Association (ASLRRA) today announced that Justin Broyles, president and CEO of R. J. Corman Railroad Group is the association's new chairman. Broyles succeeds Matt Walsh, executive vice president of global corporate development at Genesee & Wyoming Railroad Services Inc., who recently wrapped up his three-year term. The leadership transition took place on April 14, ASLRRA officials said. Broyles has served on the ASLRRA's board since 2020. The board also appointed Pinsly Railroad General Counsel and Chief Legal Officer Kristen Bevil as vice chair. Bevil has served on ASLRRA's board since 2019.

The Port of Long Beach has tapped 20-year port engineer Cesar Larios to lead the harbor department's construction management division. Larios will oversee harbor projects from start to finish, port officials said in a press release. He joined the port in 2006 as a construction manager and most recently served as manager of engineering. Notably, Larios oversaw the port's 10-year, $1.5 billion Middle Harbor Terminal Redevelopment program, now known as the Long Beach Container Terminal, port officials said.

Transdev appointed Stuart Summers vice president of marketing and communications. He will report directly to Transdev CEO Laura Hendricks and lead the transit operating services company's national marketing, branding and communication strategy. Summers most recently served the Regional Transportation District-Denver as chief communications and engagement officer.
