House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Chairman Sam Graves (R-Mo.) yesterday announced the new vice chairs for the committee's six subcommittees in the 119th Congress.
For the two rail-related subcommittees, Graves appointed U.S. Rep. Nick Begich (R-Ark.) as vice chair of the Railroads, Pipelines and Hazardous Materials Subcommittee; and U.S. Rep. Rob Bresnahan (R-Pa.) as vice chair of the Highways and Transit Subcommittee.
"Their appointments reflect their expertise and commitment to strengthening our nation’s transportation systems, cutting waste and reforming the programs in our jurisdiction, and building America’s infrastructure," Graves said in a press release. "We have a busy agenda this Congress, and I look forward to the contributions of our vice chairs in achieving our goals.”
U.S. Rep. Daniel Webster (R-Fla.) chairs the Railroads, Pipelines and Hazardous Materials Subcommittee, and U.S. Rep. David Rouzer (R-N.C.) chairs the Highways and Transit Subcommittee.
