The Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) recently named Patrick Harney executive vice president of construction, engineering and facilities maintenance to succeed Susan Plassmeyer, who will leave the agency at month’s end to become executive director of administration for alumni and development at Washington University in St. Louis.
Most recently first deputy commissioner of aviation for the city of Chicago, Harney will be responsible for managing projects, such as the Brown Line expansion and new North State Street Station. He’ll also oversee track, signal and station maintenance.
