The Regional Transportation District of Denver's (RTD) board yesterday appointed Paul Ballard interim general manager and chief executive officer.
A start date for the position has yet to be announced.
Ballard previously served as CEO of Trinity Metro in Fort Worth, Texas, and CEO of the Nashville Metropolitan Transit Authority and Regional Transportation Authority of Middle Tennessee.
The board was impressed with Ballard’s experience, leadership and ideas, said RTD Chair Angie Rivera-Malpiede in a press release.
Also yesterday, the board began the search for a permanent general manager and CEO.
The board designated up to $200,000 to fund activities associated with an executive search. Former RTD GM and CEO Dave Genova retired Jan. 20.
