Delaware River port names Wing deputy CEO; Houston Metro board OKs new contract for CEO
The Delaware River Port Authority (DRPA) board has appointed Maria Wing deputy chief executive officer.
A Philadelphia attorney, Wing brings more than 10 years of legal experience in commercial real estate development and financing, portfolio acquisition, and municipal matters pertaining to property-tax assessments and code compliance, DRPA officials said in a news release.
She's worked for nonprofit corporations, charter schools, universities, private developers and financial institutions.
Since 2006, Wing has served as counsel at the law firm of Stradley Ronon Stevens & Young LLP.
Meanwhile, the board of the Houston's Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County voted to approve a new two-year contract for the agency's current President and CEO Tom Lambert.
The contract would include annual reviews of performance conducted by the board, along with a buyout provision for termination without cause.
The agency's board is currently working to finalize and execute the contract by Nov. 1.
