California Gov. Brown names Miller to high-speed rail board

California Gov. Jerry Brown has appointed Nancy Miller to serve on the California High Speed Rail Authority's (CHSRA) board.

Miller serves as senior counsel for Renne Sloan Holtzman Sakai LLP.

She has more than 30 years of experience in providing legal services to public agency and private clients, including cities, counties, local agency formation commissions, special districts, joint powers authorities, transportation commissions, and councils of governments, according to a CHSRA press release.

She also is chairwoman of the Judicial Selection Committee, U.S. District Court, Eastern District.

Miller "possesses extensive legal and governmental expertise, and has demonstrated a dedication to public service throughout her career," said CHSRA Chairman Dan Richard said in a press release. "I am sure that her contributions to California's High-Speed Rail Program will be enormous."
