Burlington Northern Santa Fe recently named Dave Freeman assistant vice president and chief engineer, south to succeed Steve Goodall, who was promoted to AVP of north region operations.
Freeman — who most recently served as AVP of service design — will report to VP of Engineering Greg Fox and Goodall will report to VP of Transportation Dave Dealy.
"Steve and Dave bring a variety of BNSF and railroad experience to their new assignments," said Executive VP and Chief Operations Officer Carl Ice in a prepared statement. "That diversity of experience will … support their continued development in line with our leadership model."
