The Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen (BLET) appointed Jeff Thurman to its advisory board effective Jan. 1.

Thurman is a member of BLET Division 172 in Fort Worth, Texas. He fills a board vacancy created by BLET BLET National Vice President Pete Semenek's retirement at the end of December 2025, BLET officials said in a press release.

Prior to joining the board, Thurman was general chairman of the BNSF General Committee of Adjustment, a role he's held since June 2013. Kyle King, vice chairman of the committee, will now assume that role.

"Jeff Thurman brings a wealth of knowledge to the advisory board with more than 12 years of experience as a general chairman," said BLET National President Mark Wallace.
