SacRT seeks public input on recruitment of next GM, CEO

The Sacramento Regional Transit District (SacRT) next week will hold an open house to gather public input on the skills and attributes desired in the agency's next general manager and chief executive officer.

Representatives of the executive search firm KL2 Connects LLC will be available at the Feb. 9 meeting.

Additionally, residents can complete an online questionnaire if they're unable to attend the open house, SacRT officials said in a press release.

The information gathered will be used to help develop a general leadership profile, agency officials said. This profile will be shared with potential job candidates and used by the search firm as it seeks candidates for the position.

KL2 Connects will advertise the position opening in mid-February. SacRT's current GM and CEO Mike Wiley in October 2015 announced plans to retire by Jan. 1, 2017.
