Eno Center President and CEO Schank to step down

Effective Oct. 2, Joshua Schank will leave his post as president and chief executive officer of the Eno Center for Transportation for a new job in the public sector, the center announced yesterday.

Schank joined the nonpartisan think tank in February 2011. Before taking on the role, he directed the National Transportation Policy project at the Bipartisan Policy Center. He also served as transportation policy adviser to former U.S. Sen. Hillary Clinton during the development of the last six-year transportation authorization bill, known as SAFETEA-LU, Eno officials said.

Additionally, Schank previously held jobs at PB Consult Inc., ICF International, the Office of the Inspector General in the U.S. Department of Transportation, and the Permanent Citizens Advisory Committee of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority in New York City.

"The programs and products which have emerged during Joshua's tenure have resulted in the growth of Eno, the embrace of our thought-provoking work by public media, and strengthened partnerships with public and private policy and transportation interests,” said Eno Chairman Lillian Borrone.

Eno Senior Fellow Emil Frankel will serve as president and CEO while the organization searches for a successor.
