The Buckingham Branch Railroad Co.’s board recently promoted R. Mark Bryant to chief executive officer; Steven Powell to president; and Gale Wilson to senior vice president.
Bryant, who joined the railroad in 1991, had served as president since 2009. He will continue to serve as corporate treasurer and remain a board member.
Powell, who joined the short line in 1998, had served as SVP since 2009. He will continue to develop and maintain relationships with other railroads and Amtrak.
Vice president since 2009, Wilson now will focus on business development and customer relations, and maintain oversight of transportation services and related operations. He also will continue to represent the railroad — which he joined in 2001 — in government relations.
The Buckingham Branch Railroad operates more than 200 miles of track in Virginia, including segments between Dillwyn and Bremo, and Richmond and Clifton Forge.
