Yesterday, New York Gov. David Paterson announced Anthony Shorris has resigned as executive director of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ), effective April 24.
“With Tony at the helm, the port authority made smart investment in mass transit and devised creative sustainability measures,” Paterson said in a prepared statement.
Shorris was appointed to the authority’s top post for the second time in January 2007. He previously served as PANYNJ’s first executive director between 1991 and 1995.
