Former WMATA GM White joins engineering firm DMJM Harris

DMJM Harris recently named former Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) General Manager and Chief Executive Officer Richard White executive vice president and director of strategic development.

To be based out of the company’s Fairfax, Va., office, White will oversee DMJM Harris Planning and affiliate AECOM Consult, and be responsible for expanding the firm’s management consulting practice.

Prior to joining WMATA, White held the top post at Bay Area Rapid Transit, served in several management positions at New Jersey Transit and was a staff member at the former Urban Mass Transportation Administration (now known as the Federal Transit Administration).
