Last year, VIA Rail Canada Inc.’s Easterly Class: A Maritime Learning Experience had a successful first season. Passengers rated their satisfaction level at 8.4 out of 10.
Now, VIA Rail plans to launch the Easterly Class’ second season and modify the service by adding historic and geographic information vignettes to onboard activities.
Launched last spring, the service features learning activities and theme menus offering regional meals. The service is provided between May and October on the agency’s “Ocean” Eastern Transcontinental train that operates between Montreal and Halifax, Nova Scotia.
