TransLink will be closing the elevator at its 29th Avenue SkyTrain station in Vancouver, British Columbia, for modernization work.

The ongoing Expo Line Elevator Replacement Program is upgrading 21 original elevators across 15 stations with modern, more reliable replacements that have 20% more capacity, TransLink officials said in a press release. Nine new Expo Line elevators are already operating throughout the SkyTrain network.

Work on the 29th Avenue station elevator will begin Sept. 29 and last about four months. TransLink will provide accessible alternative shuttle service on weekdays during construction, agency officials said.
