San Francisco MTA to consider restoring previously cut service
advertisement
The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency’s (SFMTA) July 6 board meeting will include a hearing on plans to restore some of the services that were cut in May.
SFMTA staff are expected to review recommended changes to restore 50 percent of the reductions by Sept. 4.
As part of the fiscal-year 2012 budget, SFMTA's board approved a partial service restoration plan to take effect in July 2011. However, due to higher than expected revenue, operational efficiencies and new grant opportunities, agency staff is recommending the restoration of service on some lines in fall, SFMTA officials said in a prepared statement. Full service restoration still would take effect in July 2011.
