The Regional Transportation District - Denver on June 7 will change its light-rail service schedule.

Although RTD adjusts its service schedule regularly based on traffic patterns and economic conditions, many of the adjustments effective June 7 are designed to support riders during the next phase of RTD's multiyear downtown Denver rail reconstruction project, said agency officials in a press release.

RTD in May 2024 started reconstructing downtown track, much of which has been in place since light-rail service began in 1994.

Starting June 7, RTD will temporarily suspend the D, H and L lines due to the downtown construction. At the same time, RTD will implement a temporary T Line along the Southeast Corridor; reinstate the C Line to Denver Union Station; extend the R Line to RidgeGate Parkway Station; and increase service frequency on the B and G lines. A full list of service changes can be viewed here.

Meanwhile, RTD is soliciting project proposals through April 29 for its Partnership Program. Through the program, local governments and transportation organizations within the RTD service area can apply for funding from the RTD to enhance existing transit services or fill a transit need. Funding of $6 million is available for the years 2027-2029, said RTD officials. This is program's fourth year.

Eligible projects include new or improved fixed-route transit services, on-demand transit services and other mobility services. More details can be found on RTD's Partnership Program webpage.
