Metrolink tests new rail cars

This past weekend, California’s Metrolink began testing new rail cars.
The agency is performing brake and acceleration tests on the Orange County Line. The cars will be tested at four speed levels in both directions for about 32 runs.
Under a second phase, Metrolink plans to test the cars at every stop throughout its system. The phase is scheduled to be completed by Aug. 31.
