Rail News: Passenger Rail
Count Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) among the rail transit agencies reworking the Web to better serve customers.
Scheduled to launch May 30, the redesigned site (www.mtamaryland.com) will be more user-friendly and have a "more consistent look" that is similar to the Web sites of other Maryland state agencies, according to a prepared statement.
The revamped site also will feature new options, including a Service Update Center that offers up-to-date information on the status of local and commuter bus, light rail, Metro subway and MARC trains. Also, an "MTA Spotlight" feature will detail an upcoming construction project or entertainment event.
