The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) is preparing for an influx of riders during the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup when it takes place at Atlanta's Mercedes-Benz Stadium June 16-July 5.

As it does for all sporting events, MARTA will beef up operations during the six Club World Cup matches, providing additional trains before and after the games, MARTA officials said in a press release. MARTA officials have also created a dedicated webpage for information about using MARTA services during the games.

MARTA will station "transit ambassadors" throughout the system to help riders. Agency "load-and-go" teams will be present on rail platforms to help passengers quickly move on and off trains; and the MARTA police will be deployed across the entire system to ensure safety and security, MARTA officials said.

"MARTA is one of the only transit systems in the world that offers direct access to the airport, with a train station inside the concourse," MARTA General Manager and CEO Collie Greenwood said. Visitors can take the MARTA from their plane to their hotel, the soccer matches and other Club World Cup events throughout the area.

The transit agency is a member of the multi-agency FIFA World Cup Coordination Group, which includes transit agencies from all host cities to foster collaboration and strategic planning.

The 2025 FIFA Club World Cup will run from June 14 to July 13 at locations throughout the United States.
