Alstom has named Cathy Pianon chief communications officer, effective Oct. 1. Reporting directly to Alstom’s CEO, Martin Sion, she will oversee corporate, media, internal and digital communications, as well as brand, events and reputation, Alstom officials said in a press release. Her experience encompasses corporate and financial communications, crisis management and company-wide transformation initiatives. She has previously held leadership roles at Groupe SEB and Euro Disney, and communications and corporate affairs roles at Vivendi, Vinci and Bureau Veritas.

The Port of New Orleans has appointed Brad Guilmino vice president of finance and innovative delivery. Guilmino will provide senior leadership for major capital project development and support key financial management functions, with a focus on the proposed Louisiana International Terminal (LIT). His 25-year career spans banking, consulting and municipal financial advisory roles, including advising public agencies on projects including seaports, rail and transit systems, roads and bridges. His work has included early-stage planning, feasibility analysis, financial modeling, debt structuring and execution, alternative delivery and public-private partnerships. He served most recently as co-head of transportation and a director at PFM Financial Advisors, and previously in leadership and advisory roles at HNTB Corp. and Citigroup Global Markets.
