CapeFLYER opens 11th season of Boston-to-Hyannis rail service

Keolis Commuter Services, operator of the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority's (MBTA) commuter-rail service, announced that the CapeFLYER returned over the Memorial Day weekend for its 11th summer of service between Boston's South Station and Cape Cod.
Offering roundtrip service, trains will operate Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through Labor Day, along with expanded holiday service.
The CapeFLYER is a partnership between Keolis, the Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority, the Massachusetts Department of Transportation and the MBTA to improve access to Cape Cod for residents and visitors, according to a Keolis press release.
"The service is a boon for residents and visitors and helps to strengthen the economic development of the Cape and islands," said MassDOT Secretary and CEO Monica Tibbits-Nutt.
CapeFLYER service begins at Boston's South Station and stops in Braintree, Brockton, Middleboro, Wareham, Buzzards Bay and Bourne, ending in Hyannis.
This year, a first-class car has been added to the train for the first time.
