Akron Metro to acquire a portion of Akron Barberton Cluster Railway Co.'s line

Ohio’s Metro Regional Transit Authority recently filed a notice of exemption with Surface Transportation Board to acquire certain assets of a 3.49-mile line from Akron Barberton Cluster Railway Co. (ABC).
ABC plans to retain freight railroad operations on the line, which is located between Akron and Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio.
