Amtrak extends marketing reach to minorities


On Sept. 14, Amtrak announced New York City-based Chisholm-Mingo Group Inc. was selected as its multicultural marketing communications agency, to operate over and above the national passenger rail system’s current marketing and advertising efforts.

Amtrak plans to develop targeted messages for diverse populations using Chisholm-Mingo’s insight into various ethnic groups and experience in planning and executing local and cultural events, reaching out to minority groups and developing "grass roots" campaigns.
