Tri-County Metropolitan Transportation District of Oregon (TriMet) recently concluded a two-week program of improvements in Washington County, Oregon, that focused on three grade crossings.
The improvements included improving drainage, replacing worn track components, stabilizing crossings and repaving sections of the streets near three 30-year-old crossings at Southwest Merlo Road, Southwest 170th Avenue and West Baseline Road.
Improvements are next scheduled for the Beaverton Transit Center and Oregon City Transit Center as part of TriMet's layovers and transit centers improvements project. Work will include upgraded lighting and additional security cameras.
Construction is expected to last through fall 2027 and will not disrupt regular service, TriMet officials said in a press release
