San Diego MTS to implement TekTracking's track, signaling platforms

The San Diego Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) will implement TekTracking's Track Inspection, Maintenance, Planning & Scheduling (Track CSMA) and Signal Inspection & Testing Efficiency (Signal CSMA) platforms to support the continued modernization of its track and signal maintenance operations.

TekTracking develops rail-specific platforms designed to improve operational performance, enhance asset visibility and support long-term infrastructure management, TekTracking officials said in a press release.

The CSMA apps are designed for the rail industry; together, they create a connected digital foundation for track and signal operations, providing real-time access to inspection data, maintenance records, reporting, and operational insights, they added.

"Providing our Maintenance of Way teams with modern technology helps them make better decisions, work more efficiently, and stay ahead of maintenance needs. By using better data, analytics, and digital recordkeeping, we're improving the reliability and safety of our transit system while delivering better service to our customers," said Michael Strother, San Diego MTS' technical project manager.
