Alaska Railroad to detail '08 capital project plans

This month, Alaska Railroad Corp. (ARRC) will hold four open houses to outline the 2008 capital improvement program.
Project managers will be on hand to detail current and proposed projects, including the Seward freight dock expansion; Seward loading facility improvements; Chugach Forest whistle stop service; first phase of the Whittier Intermodal Facility and Ship Creek Intermodal Transportation Center; Port MacKenzie rail extension; the Fairbanks-North Pole and Fort Wainwright rail realignments; Northern rail extension; collision avoidance system; bridge improvements and replacements; and track rehabilitation work.
