Transportation Communications Union (TCU)-represented workers at the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority have "overwhelmingly" ratified a new contract that covers wages, health, welfare and work rules, union officials announced late last week.The contract follows three years of bargaining and included "major employer contributions" to the health and welfare fund, as well as wage increases comparable to those already settled by other unions, they said in a press release."This contract achieves our negotiating goals," said Local 1315 Chairperson Olivia Nelson-Richard.
