BMWED ratifies contract with LS&I Railroad

The Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way Employes Division announced this week its members have ratified a new labor agreement with the Lake Superior and Ishpeming Railroad (LS&I).
The contract includes general wage increases in line with recommendations from the Presidential Emergency Board No. 250, a 4/10 work week rule, service recognition bonuses and other paid time off advances, BMWED officials said in a press release.
The members belong to Burlington System Division Local Lodge 1489. LS&I serves Michigan's Upper Peninsula.
