BLET reaches tentative pact with WNYP

The Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen (BLET) late last week announced a tentative agreement with the Western New York & Pennsylvania Railroad LLC (WNYP).

The tentative agreement governs rates of pay, benefits and work rules for about a dozen members, BLET officials said in a press release.

Ratification ballots, which have been mailed to active members employed by the WNYP, are due June 15.

WYNP membership is part of Division 16 and represented by the BLET's short line department.

WNYP's main line extends from Hornell on New York's southern tier to Meadville in northwestern Pennsylvania. A 90-mile branch extends from Machias, New York, to North Driftwood, Pennsylvania.
