Logistics provider to build Brazil's largest intermodal terminal

Brazilian logistics and transportation provider América Latina Logística (ALL) recently announced plans to build an intermodal terminal in Rondonópolis, Brazil.
The more than $450 million facility is designed to accommodate demand for the next 25 years. The terminal will be focus on grains, fuel, fertilizers, cotton, refrigerated products, timber and other commodities.
Construction is scheduled to start later this year after necessary licenses are obtained and conclude by second-half 2012, when a new rail line from Rondonópolis is slated to open, according to ALL.
About 30 companies plan to set up facilities at the terminal, which will be the largest of its kind in Brazil, ALL officials said in a prepared statement.
Operating in Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Uruguay, ALL provides rail and trucking services. The company owns more than 13,000 miles of track, 1,095 locomotives and 31,650 rail cars, as well as several distribution centers and warehousing facilities.
