The Coalition for America's Gateways and Trade Corridors (CAGTC) in 2026 is taking note of its 25 years of advocating for the national freight transportation network.
CAGTC is a nonprofit trade association comprised of more than 60 organizations, including state departments of transportation, port and transit authorities, metropolitan planning agencies, engineering firms and railroad associations. Since the group's founding in 2001, the CAGTC has supported supply chain efficiency, economic competitiveness and the national freight transportation network by promoting federal funding for infrastructure projects and goods movement as a national priority.
"In the past 25 years, CAGTC has helped transform how our nation understands and invests in freight infrastructure,” said CAGTC Immediate Past Chair Paul Anderson, president and CEO of Port Tampa Bay, in a press release. "From the earliest days of simply seeking a seat at the table and advocating for dedicated freight programs to today’s conversations about supply chain preparedness and adapting to changing demands, CAGTC has been a constant, steady voice."
To commemorate the anniversary, CAGTC is launching a "Voices of Freight" speaker series featuring national industry experts with insight into federal funding programs, emerging technologies and best practices in project planning. The coalition also will host an anniversary celebration during its annual meeting on April 22 in Washington, D.C.
