Southeast Toyota Distributors last week dedicated a new vehicle processing facility at the Jacksonville Port Authority's (Jaxport) Blout Island Marine Terminal.
CSX, which provides on-dock rail service to all three terminals at the Florida port, will soon introduce direct service to the facility, CSX officials said in a social media post.
The $170 million facility spans 88 acres and features seven buildings totaling more than 380,000 square feet. It will process, accessorize and distribute vehicles to the 178 Toyota dealers served by Southeast Toyota Distributers across its five-state region, Jaxport officials said in a press release.
The new facility can process about 4,000 vehicles per week, nearly double the capacity of the distributor's prior facility at Jaxport's Talleyrand Marine Terminal, they added.
Jaxport is a major gateway for autos and roll-on/roll-off cargo. The port last year opened the first of two new auto berths on Blout Island; the second berth is under construction and slated for completion in early 2027.
