CN recently received Toyota Canada Inc.'s Carrier of the Year Award for 2011. The award recognizes a railroad’s or truck carrier’s performance in such areas as transit time, quality and customer service.
A transportation provider’s performance is key in enabling the automaker to “consistently deliver on our commitments to our dealers and customers across Canada,” said Toyota Canada Managing Director Tony Kelly in a prepared statement, adding that CN achieved the award “through strong teamwork and a shared service vision.”
The award recognizes the day-to-day supply chain commitment of the Class I’s 22,000 employees, said CN Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer Jean-Jacques Ruest.
