Amtrak's Harrisburg Line track renewal project in Pennsylvania is progressing to phase three today.
As a result, minor schedule changes will be implemented for some Keystone Service trains, ranging from five to 30 minutes on weekdays and 5-35 minutes on weekends. Pennsylvanian train schedules will remain unaffected.
The $122 million project, that began in March between Lancaster and Harrisburg, would normally take about two years, but Amtrak is scheduling single and full track outages to improve work efficiency and reduce the impact on riders.
The project is set to conclude in November, but work has been advancing ahead of schedule, Amtrak officials said in a press release.
