Last month, Progressive Railroading/RailPrime hosted a virtual summit titled "Rail's Evolving Digital Age."
Nii Attoh-Okine, a professor and chair of the A. James Clark School of Engineering in the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering at the University of Maryland in College Park, shared two presentations on Feb. 28: A brief overview of the Digital and Cyber Railway Engineering and Operations Center, which opened last month; and "Using Valuation-Based Networks as Graphical Tools in Digital Twin Applications."
Professor Attoh-Okine's research expertise is in resilient infrastructure, with a focus on cybersecurity and digital technologies applied to transportation and civil infrastructure. And he shared plenty of insights during both presentations.
