OPW has named David Malinas president. He has more than 20 years of operational leadership experience, most recently serving as chief operating officer of Duravant, a Chicago-based automation equipment company. Malinas previously served OPW a Dover company in 2019 as senior vice president of operations, a role he served for nearly four years. Malinas now succeeds Kevin Long, who served as OPW's president since 2017. OPW develops various fluid-handling solutions, including loading and unloading systems for high-value hazardous and nonhazardous bulk products, and rail-car and transport tank-truck valves, gauging devices and tank-monitoring systems.

TTX Co. has joined the RailPulse Coalition, becoming the latest member of the growing cross-industry effort to transform rail-car visibility, safety and efficiency through widespread adoption of telematics and data standardization. TTX's entry into RailPulse brings a new dimension to the coalition's mission adding the scale, operational expertise and fleet management capabilities of North America's leading shared rail-car provider TTX officials said in a press release. "The integration of TTX's shared fleet model with RailPulse's telematics platform is a game changer," said RailPulse General Manager David Shannon. The RailPulse coalition includes Class Is, short lines, shippers and rail-car owners that work collaboratively to standardize telematics technology.
