Intramotev, a technology company that builds battery-electric rail cars, announced a new customer agreement with Watco in which the rail, transloading and logistics services company will deploy Intramotev’s TugVolt technology on its network, starting at its terminal in Wood River, Illinois. Watco operates more than 45 railroads over 7,100 miles of track. The TugVolt technology is in revenue service for Carmeuse Americas in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. “Our technology brings new levels of flexibility to yard operations, helping customers move freight exactly when and where they need it," said Intramotev CEO Co-Founder Tim Luchini in a press release.
Duos Technologies Group Inc., a provider of intelligent technologies and digital infrastructure solutions, announced the appointment of Doug Recker as a corporate officer and president of the company. He will report to Duos CEO Chuck Ferry. Recker has been a driving force behind Duos’ expansion into the Edge Data Center and colocation markets through the Duos Edge AI subsidiary. In his new role, Recker will assume broader leadership responsibilities to advance Duos’ strategy in Edge AI and digital infrastructure solutions. He also will continue to oversee the design implementation and deployment of Duos Edge Data Centers, according to a Duos press release.
The Railway Supply Institute announced its support for the nomination of Richard Kloster, an RSI member and former member of the RSI board of directors, to a five-year term on the Surface Transportation Board. "Dick's extensive experience as a leader in the railway supply industry and his deep understanding of the complexities of our sector make him an outstanding choice for this crucial role," said RSI President Jim Riley in a press release. "We are confident that he will bring a balanced and knowledgeable perspective to the STB, and his insights into the railway supply industry will be invaluable in shaping the future of freight rail.”
