TriMet posts another ridership record in July

For the fourth-straight month, the Tri-County Metropolitan Transportation District of Oregon (TriMet) set a ridership record.
In July, the agency recorded 9.2 million rides on its MAX light-rail and bus systems — a 13.3 percent increase compared with July 2007's total and the first time the agency exceeded 9 million trips in a single month.
Light-rail ridership totaled a record 3.4 million trips, up 13.2 percent. In addition, average weekday light-rail boardings hit an all-time-high of 122,700, a 10.9 percent increase compared with July 2007's total.
