Northern Ethanol to build CSXT-served plant in New York

Northern Ethanol L.L.C. recently reached an agreement to acquire 70 acres in Niagara Falls, N.Y., from Praxair Inc. for a new ethanol plant.

The site is served by CSX Transportation and adjacent to a St. Lawrence Seaway dock and interstate highway.

Northern Ethanol plans to build a $245 million plant that would consume 37 million bushels of corn and produce more than 100 million gallons of ethanol annually.
