KCS hires firm to manage real estate holdings

Yesterday, Kansas City Southern announced it reached an agreement with The Staubach Co. to provide real estate and asset management services.

The real estate management and brokerage firm will represent KCS in property sale and lease deals, develop and maintain an asset management database, and administer lease, industry and storage track, and transload agreements. KCS’ internal real estate and industrial development department will continue to set strategy and oversee transactions.

The Staubach Co. will help “maximize the potential of our real estate assets and streamline the management of these assets,” said KCS President and Chief Operating Officer Art Shoener in a prepared statement.
