South Florida Regional Transportation Authority (SFRTA) recently named local businessman Rick Rodriguez Pina to the Citizen’s Advisory Committee.

Owner of a governmental relations firm, Rodriguez Pin also serves as a member of the FIU Metropolitan Center, city of Miami Orange Bowl Advisory Committee and Cuban-American National Foundation.

"Rick’s ability to present issues and garner the necessary support throughout various governmental bodies will be a key factor to the committee’s success," said Department of Transportation District VI Secretary John Martinez, who recommended Rodriguez Pina to the board, in a prepared statement.

SFRTA’s Citizen’s Advisory Committee is charged with providing recommendations to the authority’s board and executive director, addressing pending laws that affect ridership, contributing to marketing proposals, promoting ridership and discussing general issues impacting regional transportation.
