KCS' Foster succeeds Fisk as VP, CMO

Kansas City Southern recently promoted Assistant Chief Mechanical Officer John Foster to vice president and chief mechanical officer of KCS' U.S. operation. Foster succeeds James Fisk, who joined Electro-Motive Diesel Inc. as vice president.

In 1968, Foster joined KCS as a carman apprentice. He has since served the mechanical department in various capacities.

“John knows first hand what it takes to run a world-class mechanical operation," said Art Shoener, president and chief executive officer of KCS' U.S. operation, in a prepared statement.
