Haeg joins Rio Grande Pacific as VP of marketing

Rio Grande Pacific Corp. has named Michael Haeg vice president of marketing, effective April 2. He will report to President Robert Bach.

Haeg has 26 years of transportation experience. He most recently served RailAmerica Inc. after holding various posts at StatesRail and Union Pacific Railroad. In addition, Haeg has experience in foreign and domestic markets with both railroad and customer-based organizations.

“[Haeg] brings us a proven track record and a grasp of how things work in this industry,” said Bach in a prepared statement.

Founded in 1986, Rio Grande Pacific operates four short lines and one scenic railroad in Nebraska, Louisiana, Oregon, Idaho, Oklahoma and Texas. The firm also retains holdings in commercial real estate, energy and technology.
