Sound Transit slates open houses for East Link light-rail extension

Sound Transit will host two open houses this month as it moves forward with the design for the East Link light-rail extension.

An open house will be held tonight on the South Bellevue segment and station, and one will be held Feb. 25 on the East Main Station area, Sound Transit officials said in a press release. Designs for those portions of the East Link project are now 60 percent complete, they said.

The open houses are being co-hosted by the city of Bellevue's Light Rail Permitting Citizens Advisory Committee.

Scheduled to open in 2023, East Link will offer riders access to destinations along a 50-mile regional light-rail system.
