TNW Corp. recently expanded rail-car service offerings on its Texas North Western Railway (TXNW) line in Sunray, Texas, in partnership with The Andersons Rail Group.

TNW owns the largest private storage facility in North America at the TXNW Railway, company officials said in a press release. The expansion in services will include rail-car cleaning and flaring, a full-service repair shop for tank cars and hoppers, rail-car storage and Class I interchanges.

The repair shop will provide general Association of American Railroads and Federal Railroad Administration repairs, as well as HM-216 tank-car qualification. The shop also will perform M-1002 certifications.

"TNW and The Andersons understand the importance for shippers and leasing companies who are looking to combine rail-car cleaning, repairs and storage in one location to effectively manage their fleet," said Wade Hoffman, TNW's vice president of marketing and sales.

Sam Anderson, VP of The Andersons Rail Group, added: "Investments into the repair infrastructure on TXNW allow us to provide a full suite of tank car repair services, including tank car certifications. The shop is adjacent to the TXNW storage yard, and we believe the geographical location, Class I connection, and strong partnership with TNW will add significant value to our customers."
