GE Rail Services names LaBat VP of sales

GE Equipment Services-Rail Services recently named Eric LaBat vice president-sales. Based in Chicago, LaBat will oversee and supervise the day-to-day activities and strategies of the Food, Agriculture and Minerals sales team.
LaBat has 15 years of rail-industry experience, serving both Union Pacific Railroad and CSX Transportation. At CSXT, LaBat held a variety of marketing and sales positions, most recently director of sales in Chicago. He also has experience in the food, agriculture, paper, forest, chemicals and fertilizer business segments.
A division of GE Equipment Services, GE Rail Services provides rail cars, services and intermodal equipment to businesses throughout North America. GE Rail's fleet comprises more than 185,000 rail cars, and more than 150,000 intermodal containers, trailers and chassis.
