IBEW ratifies 4-year contract with CN

International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) members who work in signals and communications at CN ratified a new four-year collective bargaining agreement with the Class I on Feb. 14.

The agreement includes 3% wage increases annually for 750 union members in Canada, said CN officials in a press release. The contract will expire Dec. 31, 2028.

“The ratification of this agreement by our employees with the IBEW union represents a mutually beneficial outcome,” said Patrick Whitehead, executive vice president and chief network operating officer at CN.
