The Florida Rail Enterprise has released information on several “early works” projects, which will enable the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) to begin preliminary construction on the Tampa-to-Orlando high-speed rail corridor on a “fast-track basis,” according to the agency.

The proposed work packages have been subdivided into specific contract groupings based on location, similar scope of work, project development status, and permitting or right-of-way lead times.

FDOT is seeking contractors for an Interstate 4 median preparation project, SR 559 interchange project, CR 557 interchange project, high-speed rail maintenance facility site preparation and westbound I-4 realignment between SR 417 and Osceola Parkway
